Jeremy Pinkerton Memorial Fund

In lieu of flowers, the Pinkerton family has asked that contributions be made to the Jeremy Pinkerton Memorial Fund, from which gifts are planned to Pegasus, SOCA, the Maryland Sailing Team, the Wintergreen Adaptive Skiing program, and, hopefully, the establishment of an annual scholarship for bright, creative students with a passion for computer science.

Jeremy's family is pleased to have found a home for his Fund with the Charlottesville Area Community Foundation. This means that donations to the Jeremy Pinkerton Memorial Fund are eligible for charitable contribution treatment for tax purposes. We will announce gifts which the Fund makes in his honor.

 Pegasus (UVa Critical Care Transport Team)
Pegasus is a hospital based air and ground medical transport service providing care to critically ill or injured patients. Starting its operation in 1984, Pegasus is part of the University of Virginia Health System and is committed to providing prompt and safe transport.

 Soccer Organization of Charlottesville-Albemarle (SOCA)
The Soccer Organization of Charlottesville-Albemarle (SOCA) provides all youth and adults superior, comprehensive soccer programming emphasizing player development, enjoyment and citizenship. SOCA is dedicated to serving the local, regional, and national soccer communities.

 Maryland Sailing Team
The Maryland Sailing Team is a club organization affiliated with the University of Maryland, College Park. It is a nationally recognized program that competes in the Middle Atlantic Intercollegiate Sailing Association (MAISA), southern division, on the east coast.

 Wintergreen Adaptive Sports
Wintergreen Adaptive Sports is a non-profit, 501(c)3 corporation whose mission is to teach the joys of outdoor sport and recreation to individuals with a disability. As of 2010, they offer instruction in alpine skiing, snowboarding, kayaking, and canoeing.
